ESG 2024: A Year of Transformation and Progress for BORG Automotive Newman
2024 was a significant year for BORG Automotive Newman. Following its transition from SBS Automotive, the rebranding marked more than a change in name - it was a strategic step into a shared future with the Group. The new identity strengthens Newman’s alignment with the Group’s values and supports a sharper focus on responsible business practices across the organisation while still focussing on the same service, agility and quality the market has known SBS Automotive for.
Employee satisfaction
One key achievement this year was the improvement in employee engagement, which rose by 2% compared to 2023. This result highlights our ongoing efforts to nurture a positive, inclusive, and people-first workplace culture.
Supplier requirements
BORG Automotive Newman also made solid progress in supplier collaboration. From an environmental perspective, our role in enabling vehicle repair instead of replacement makes a measurable difference. Repairing vehicles significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, energy consumption, and the need for new materials - compared to producing new vehicles. That’s because we have high quality standards in use and offer some of the markets longest product guarantees available across the range.
As part of BORG Automotive Group, Newman contributes actively to group-wide ESG goals. Whether it’s people, partners, or products - our commitment to quality and responsibility runs deep. Together, we are not only adapting to change - we are doing our part.
